With these current recommendations to wear a cloth facemask from the Surgeon General and The CDC, many people are asking how they can make and clean a mask, the answer is pretty diverse because there are all kinds of ways to make these face masks. One idea I recently stumbled upon was the paper towel mask. The paper towel mask has to be the shining star of all the mask tutorials I have ever seen. To make this mask you just fold and staple a paper towel while adding rubber bands to the sides. I am not even kidding when I tell you how easy this mask is to make. The paper towel mask would be perfect for making a stockpile of disposable masks, think of how many masks you could get our of a roll of paper towels, an endless supply. I love this tutorial and I know you will too.

Materials:

  • Paper Towels (or 1 paper towel per mask)
  • A Stapler
  • 2 Rubber Bands (per mask)

Directions:

Take a paper towel and smooth it out on a flat surface. Then you fold your paper towel back and forth in an accordion pattern.

Make a simple face mask out of a paper towel

Then you simply place the rubber bands at the ends and fold the accordion pleating to the inside and staple down.

Use a paper towel , a stapler, and 2 rubber bands to make a face mask

This is the best mask tutorial I have ever found, I really love the mask as well it is both useful and attractive, a double win.
