I found the absolutely coolest fabric strip rug video tutorial by Peace And Applique on YouTube, This fabulous rug is made using a jelly roll and batting strips. The idea is absolutely amazing and bot nearly as difficult as those rugs that use the round rope stuff. This rug really is amazing, you just sew the center part together and keep going until it grows as big as you need it to be.

Materials:

  • A jelly roll
  • Thread
  • A rotary cutter
  • A pair of scissors
  • A cutting mat
  • Batting (cut in 2 1/2 inch strips)
  • Quilt basting beads (or spray, optional)

Directions:

In this fabric strip rug video tutorial by Peace And Applique on YouTube, you will learn how to make this amazing rug in a few easy steps. You start by arranging all your pre-cut jelly roll strips in the order that you want the colors to appear in the rug.
