I was so excited when I found this awesome bowl cozy video tutorial by Shabby Fabrics, on YouTube. I had just been thinking about how hot bowls get when you fill them with hot soups and stews. Since my family was coming to visit for Christmas, I have planned to make several of our favorite dishes for our meals leading up to Christmas dinner. The thought of having festive holiday bowl cozies, so we can all sit around the tree with our delicious hot meals, sounded like a great idea.
Materials For The Jelly Roll Bowl Cozies:
- 10 jelly roll strips per bowl
- A sewing machine
- A rotary cutter
- A cutting mat
- An iron
- An ironing board
- A pair of scissors

In this awesome bowl cozy video tutorial by Shabby Fabrics, on YouTube, you will learn how to make this bowl warmer in a few easy steps. You begin by sewing your 5 jelly roll strips together, then cutting out your square with rounded corners. You will do this two times.
Then you will line both sides with fusible fleece and then sew it all together right sides together, tucking where necessary. As with most projects, you will turn it right sides out and finish off the opening.
This is such a cute project, I think I am going to make quite a few as gifts because my niece will probably take mine if I don’t!
