Croissants are buttery and flaky deliciousness for breakfast mornings. I love the taste of salty and warm croissants with butter. Croissants are one of my favorite pieces of bread. I would always get a big container of croissants when I go to Costco. I grew up loving them because my family loved them too. They’re amazing for breakfast sandwiches or a quick on-the-go snack. So, when I came across Joshua Weissman’s tutorial on YouTube, I was thrilled to see what it would be like if I made a homemade croissant loaf. After watching the tutorial, I’ve noticed it takes three days to make this. I’m impatient, but I think this might be worth the wait because Joshua’s instructions are very thorough. I’ve never made bread before so this might be a challenge. Overall, I enjoy watching his tutorials because of the effort and quality he puts toward his recipes and videos.
First, prep the dough. Make sure to measure everything with precise measurements. Once the dough is finished, place it on a tray and cover it with plastic wrap. Let the dough sit in the refrigerator overnight.
Next, on day two, make a butter block with 336 grams of unsalted butter. The best method to make a butter square: freeze the butter for 15 minutes and grate it. Keep following the step-by-step instructions with Joshua Weissman’s tutorial on YouTube.
Croissants are not easy to make, but I’m interested in attempting to make something more complicated. Plus, it’ll be impressive to take this home to my parents since they love croissants as much as I do.
