I love the visual appeal of a flowing fountain on the patio or porch. When I recently went over to my old best friend’s house and she had one of the most amazing fountains on her porch and it was made from an umbrella! When I asked her where in the world she got such a cool thing, she said, to my complete amazement, that she had made it herself! I was completely blown away! I said, you mean you are a fountain maker? She laughed and laughed, no far from it she said, then she pulled out her phone and showed me this excellent DIY fountain tutorial by CEMENT – DIY Projects on YouTube, where she found this amazing idea. I could not wait to get home and try out this fountain idea in my garden. I started getting my materials together as soon as I parked my car in my driveway.

Materials:

  • A small pump
  • Some plastic tubing
  • An umbrella
  • Quick-dry cement
  • A shovel
  • A trowel
  • Some net grid
  • Some spray paint
