Growing your own garlic at home can be both fun, rewarding, and cheap. I was so excited to find this Youtube video describing exactly how to grow garlic step by step in a window sill or any warn sunlit area of your home. Garlic is one of the most amazing foods you can eat for so many reasons and according to many experts, the health benefits are still emerging every day. Not to mention how delicious fresh garlic can make soups, roasts, and casseroles taste. I have always wanted a vegetable garden and thought that I would need to wait until I lived in a house with a yard. That is not the case however with this simple garlic growing tip using recycled water bottles and a little tender loving care.

Materials:

  • Garlic Pods
  • Plastic Water Bottles
  • A utility knife (or box cutter, 0r even scissors will work to cut the tops off your recycled water bottles)
  • Water
  • A pot
  • Some Potting Soil

Directions:

First, you will learn how to prep your garlic pods and leave them in the recycled water bottles that you will cut the tops off of.
