I love fresh Basil the pasta and homemade pizzas I make for my family, but when I buy it either freshly cut or actually growing in a pot, it withers and dies quickly and pre cut is very expensive. Recently, however, I found this video on Youtube that demonstrated how to quickly you can go from one Basil Plant to an almost infinite number of plants to have a never-ending Basil supply. He goes from one plant to 8 plants in 30 days, then 18 in 60 days. In fact if you did it for one year using this method you could have a thousand Basil plants all from the original mother plant. The cutting and growing methods were not hard to follow at all.

Step One:

Cut your first cutting just underneath a nodule with sprouting buds on it, this is very important because of the plant’s hormonal flow from the top flowering part.

Then nip those side leaves off of the bottom part next to the nodule.

Then place your cuttings in water and set in a warm sunlit environment for 18 days.

Then after 18 days, you will have this amazing root system.

Then pot the new plants you created from the Mother plant in a rich Pete based potting mixture and be sure to add some pearls for water flow and soil ventilation.

Then grow in a sunny window or under a grow light for 21 days and your plants will be amazing.

These Basil plants are nothing short of amazing! I have more Basil than my family can eat.
