If you don’t like them near you, check out these tips by The Home Depot on how to get rid of spiders in your house. There are several options you can choose from, from traps and sprays to homemade solutions.
For small infestations, use sticky traps that have adhesive surfaces that catch spiders.
Use sprays directly on spiders to immediately eliminate them.
Spread diatomaceous earth around the outside of your house to keep these insects away. It is a natural powder that lacerates and dehydrates a spider’s body.
You can also use vinegar or peppermint essential oil mixed with water to create a natural spider spray.
Use yellow sodium vapor light outside and eliminate vegetation within eight feet of your home.
Vacuuming is also a great way to get rid of spiders. This can help eliminate eggs and spider webs, which encourages spiders to nest in different places. They can also get suctioned away with dirt and dust.
If you don’t want to kill a spider but still want to remove them from your house, you can trap it in a glass and slide a piece of paper to get it. Free it at least 10 feet from your house.
Block all points of entry using a sealant and repair any torn window screens to prevent spiders from coming into your house.
Cleaning can help too! Sweep and vacuum your area often. Make sure you get rid of spider webs, egg sacs, and insects.
Store your food in sealed containers or airtight bins.
