Ants can get persistent and keep on coming back no matter how hard you try to repel them unless you get rid of their nest itself. But to do that, you have to find their nest first and destroy or block it once and for all. Now, you may think that it would be difficult if not impossible, but you’ll be surprised when you see this video tutorial by tsbrownie on YouTube, so watch it now and find out how.

What you need:

  • Sugar
  • Dish soap
  • Water
  • Spray bottle

Directions:

How to Locate the Ant Nest

Simply follow the trail of ants to see where they are going back to and find their nest, but if the trail is too sparse to follow or there are only a few of them, then place a huge block of sugar where they are grouped, and let it attract all of the ants. Next, blow on them a little or just breathe on them and you’ll see that they will start scurrying back to their nest in a solid line, and all you have to do is follow them. Once you’ve located the nest, spray on that area and seal it if needed, but if the ants still come back, then that must not be the key nest. Leave the sugar a bit longer and locate where it will go back to and spray that area with the solution.

How to Make a Homemade Ant Repellent

In a clean spray bottle, add a tablespoon of dish soap for every 4 cups of water, then close the lid of the spray bottle, and give it a good shake to combine. You can spray or pour this directly onto the ant nest.
