Gold is all the rage these days and holding physical gold also a very wise investment these days. There are many ways you can get physical gold, you can buy gold coins from a gold dealer or buy some old jewelry from a pawn shop but there is a really interesting way to get gold that I saw on Youtube recently that reminded me of the old gold panners from the California Gold Rush, that is harvesting gold from old computer parts. There is gold in all processors and such, you just need to learn how to separate it off with some chemicals and go through a filtering process and you will have your hot little hands on some gold baby!

Materials:

  • Muriatic Acid
  • Hydrogen Peroxide
  • Aquarium Pump
  • Hydrochloric Acid

Directions:

Cut down and soak your computer parts in a 50/ 50 ratio of Muriatic Acid and Hydrogen Peroxide for one week with a cheap aquarium pump bubbling. You may need to make slits in it to get it to not bubble so wildly, you don’t want the toxic chemicals splashing out of your beaker. You also might want to put a loose fitting piece of plastic cling film over the top to keep it contained.
