Step 1

Remove the meat of the chicken and shred or chop them into smaller pieces instead. Place the chicken meat in a Ziploc bag, then push out as much air as you can, seal the bag tightly to create a vacuum effect, and label the chicken on the date it was packed.

Step 2

Place it in the freezer and leave it there to freeze for up to 3 months. If you want to freeze a chicken whole, then let it cool down completely first, and place it in the freezer for up to 2 weeks in the same container it was when you bought it.

Step 3

You can also transfer the whole chicken in a Ziploc bag with a vacuum seal technique, then freeze it for up to 1 month. When you thaw a frozen cooked chicken, make sure to add liquid at the bottom of the baking dish or a slow cooker.
