Materials:

  • Superglue
  • Hair dryer
  • Plastic strip
  • Painter’s tape
  • Dental floss
  • Long nose pliers

Directions:

Step 1

If your eyeglasses are a bit uneven or always fall down your nose, then try bending the temples of your eyeglasses as well as the bridge until they fit perfectly. If your eyeglasses are made out of plastic material, then you can either heat them with warm water or with a hair dryer first so that they bend easier. To do a quick test if your eyeglasses are even, place them on top of a table or flat surface, then check whether both temple tips are laying flatly on the surface, and adjust if one is higher and not laying down. However, keep in mind that you might still have to make small adjustments when you wear them because our ears are not even, one will always be slightly higher than the other, and it’s normal.

Step 2

Now, if your eyeglasses simply have a loose screw, simply tighten it using a long nose plier. However, if the screw is nowhere to be found, you can insert a toothpick, then snap it, or use dental floss to hold your eyeglasses together. Now, if any of this doesn’t work and you’re sure that you are going to replace your eyeglasses, you can put them back together using superglue. But, if you’re not going to replace it yet, just use painter’s tape or any tape instead. The reason for this is that superglue will void the warranty of your eyeglasses. Lastly, if you have half-rimmed eyeglasses, find a strong plastic strip or dental floss, then loop it over the nylon and move the plastic strip or floss around while inserting the lens until it slides back into place.
