#1 Don’t Look at the Clock

Doing this will just force your mind to sleep and it’s not a good thing. The best thing that you can possibly do is relax. There’s this thing called “Non-Sleep Deep Rest” where you lie in a position and it’s dark, quiet, and you’re not moving. One hour of this is equal to 20 minutes of sleep, so don’t worry if you’re just lying down and not falling asleep; you’re still getting some form of it and you won’t wake up super tired.

#2 Try 4-7-8 Breathing

What it does is it lowers your heart rate dramatically. You just need to breathe in 4 seconds, hold for 7 seconds, and breathe out 8 seconds. Don’t push air in hard, just do it gently and calmly. This will certainly help you fall back asleep in the middle of the night.
