Do you use your Keurig coffee maker all the time? When was the last time you cleaned it? If you’ve been using it for months or even years, it might be best to clean it now. Although it may seem clean outside, calcium deposits and scale can build up inside, which can affect the taste of your coffee and may even prevent your machine from making coffee.

Here’s another tip you might want to try: How to Remove Coffee Stains From a Mug
Remove the last K-cup you used. If you’ve got a K-cup from previous use in your compartment still, take it out.
Run water through your Keurig to remove some coffee remnants. Dump into the sink.
Empty the water from the water tank. Add 2 cups of distilled white vinegar and 1 cup of water.
First, run the vinegar and water cup by choosing the largest coffee cup setting. This is to maximize efficiency so the cleaning process won’t take up all day. After the first run, let it sit for 15 to 20 minutes, so the vinegar and water mixture that has been pulled into the Keurig sits on the parts inside that you aren’t able to access and clean.
After that, repeatedly run multiple cups of the vinegar and water mixture through your machine until the tank is empty.
Rinse the tank with water, then fill it up with fresh water.
Run the entire water tank again in the largest coffee cup setting to remove the vinegar smell and taste. You can repeat the process if you can still taste the vinegar.
Do this process every 3 months.
