Did you know there’s a way to deep clean your carpet without having to use machines? You might want to check this method from Best Cleaning Tools on YouTube. This cleaning method may take you a lot of time, but at least you won’t need to rent expensive cleaning machines if you don’t own one. It’s also pretty easy, and I bet you can do this with just yourself. Watch the video tutorial below to learn the step by step instructions. Thanks to Best Cleaning Tools for this fantastic cleaning method.

Materials:

  • baking soda
  • spray bottle
  • table salt
  • rags
  • water
  • detergent
  • bristle brush

Directions:

Step 1

Combine 1/8 tsp detergent with water in a spray bottle. Shake it gently to combine the water and detergent. Next, lightly dust the area of the carpet you wish to deep clean with some baking soda, then sprinkle some salt over it. After this, spray the detergent water mixture over the carpet and let it sit for several minutes. Now, grab a bristle brush and scrub the carpet in one direction only. Once finished, pick up the debris and gunk you’ve brushed out.

Step 2

Next, move a slight angle from where you started brushing and begin again, brushing in one direction. After this, grab the rags and lay them along the carpet to soak up the water. Once the carpet is mostly dry, empty the spray bottle and refill it with clean water (don’t add any detergent). Spray it on the nearly-dried carpet, then lay more rags to soak up the water and you’re done.

Since I lover experiments, I’ve alwaysnloved to create, paint, as well as cook and style food. I feel in love with DIY as soon as I discovered it and could not have been more excited when I learned I could share projects with people around the world. Taking photos is a passion of mine, as is design and painting with oils. I love holidays and celebrations, crafting cute little gifts and serving up at least one new recipe I am excited about.
