Summer is finally here; what more fun way to celebrate it than hitting the beaches to ease the hot weather? But if you’re like me, who prefers to be at home even on hot summer days, you will like this genius hack from Effective Life Hacks on Youtube. This hack works extremely well if you don’t have an air conditioning unit but still want to cool your room. It’s efficient and effective, and you don’t need to spend bucks because all the materials are found in your home already. Pretty cool, right? This is the best way (aside from swimming) to cool down your body during the hottest days of the year. So if you want to try this genius hack, watch the video tutorial below to learn the step by step instructions. Share this also with your friends and family; maybe they need this hack too!

Materials:

  • a bucket filled half with water
  • curtain
  • fan

Step 1

Remove the door curtain (if you have one), then fold it. Once folded, place it in a bucket filled half with water. Soak it for two minutes. After this, put it in the freezer and leave it for one hour.

Step 2

After one hour, remove it from the freezer and hang it back on your door. Place a fan in front of the curtain and open it, blowing air to the inside of the room. With this, the cooled curtain will generate cold air with the fan blowing the air to let it circulate around the room.
