This recipe will teach you how long to cook steak in a pan and how to season it properly. I made this recipe several times and it never disappoints. It always comes out perfectly. Serve it with mac and cheese, mashed potato, corn on the cob, potato wedges, broccoli, or asparagus for the perfect meal.

Let the steak rest until it comes to room temperature for about 30 to 45 minutes.
Pat dry it with a paper towel. Season both sides with salt and black pepper. Rub it into the meat. Wipe your area clean.
Place a cast iron skillet over high heat and add oil.
Crush the garlic cloves with your knife then peel.
Once the oil is hot, add the seasoned steak and cook for 6 minutes, turning it over every 1.5 minutes.
For the remaining 2 minutes, add butter, garlic, and rosemary. Baste the steak with the melted butter. Sear the fat by holding it on the side.
Once done cooking, transfer to your chopping board and let it rest for about 5 minutes. Season with salt and black pepper. Slice and serve. Enjoy!
