This cleaning hack by Smart Fox on YouTube is surprisingly effective and efficient in removing all of the dirt and gunk buildup on your toilet. When we clean our toilet, there are some spots that are left uncleaned because they are hard or near impossible to reach, and sometimes they are not really visible which makes it easier for us to miss. But with the help of this handy trick, all of that can change, and you might be even surprised by how much dirt your toilet bowl has accumulated over time. All you need is a sponge, an old fork, and this video tutorial!

Materials:

  • Sponge
  • Fork, make sure you’re not going to use it anymore
  • Knife or scissors
  • Soap or any cleaning solution you prefer

Directions:

Step 1

Cut the sponge in half because you would only need a small piece, use either a knife or scissors, and make sure to do this carefully. Stick the fork on the shorter side, then push it all the way, bend it a bit, and then douse the sponge with lots of soap.

Step 2

Now, insert it underneath the rim of the toilet that can’t be reached when cleaning usually, then scrub it side to side in a back-and-forth motion to break up the buildup, and do this all around the rim.

Step 3

Flush the toilet to rinse it out, then rinse the sponge as well, and repeat as needed. Once done, rinse the sponge and fork well, then set it aside in a container or plastic bag, and use it again when needed.
