We all love our pets, and most of us love letting them have free reign over the household furniture, but their odors can get so entrenched into the upholstery and carpet, so much, that it seems almost glued in. There are many products on the market that can remove pet odor from the home, and they probably all work, but there are many things you can try. I found this wonderful video tutorial by Andrea Jean Cleaning, on YouTube, that described how to remove pet odors with many useful tips, that looked so easy I had to try this entire process.

Materials Needed For Cleaning Pet Odor Off The Furniture:

  • A spray bottle filled with plain water
  • A small bowl of baking soda
  • A damp washcloth
  • A spray bottle filled with rubbing alcohol
  • A vacuum cleaner (hose and canister type works best)

In this wonderful video tutorial by Andrea Jean Cleaning, on YouTube, you will learn how to strip your furniture of pet odor in a few easy steps. You will begin by dampening the entire couch with your spray bottle of water.

Then, you will sprinkle baking soda all over the dampened area, then work the baking soda into the fabric with a damp cloth. Try to leave the baking soda on for as long as possible, then you will vacuum it all up. Follow that with a light spraying of rubbing alcohol.
