Do you have a favorite hat that you have worn too many times already? If so, you should probably clean it now. After using it several times, you may see a lot of sweat stains and dirt, and we don’t want any of that. Good thing Andrea Jean Cleaning is here to help – here’s how to clean any hat without ruining it.

Pre-treat your hat. Spray the stains with the stain removal and rub it in with your toothbrush. If it doesn’t get removed, do it one more time.
Fill a bucket with warm water and add a few drops of dish soap. Stir the water well.
Soak the hat in the soapy water and use a bigger brush to clean the outer area. For the stains and parts that your big brush can’t reach, use the toothbrush. Make sure not to forget the sides. Keep brushing until you have cleaned all sides.
Rinse your hat with water to remove all of the soap and dirt.
If it’s an old hat, you can squeeze the water out, but if it’s a new one and you don’t want to cause any damage, let it air dry on top of a towel. Shape it just like it would normally be on your head. Placing it in direct sunlight might cause fading, so just put it in a well-ventilated area. You can also hang it, but it can stretch out your hat.
