Remember to brush your hair only when it’s dry as wet hair can be fragile. Make sure you are using a brush with soft bristles to avoid breakage.

A common issue associated with using hair brushes is the build-up of hair at the base of the brush. It is important to clean it at least once a week to get rid of dead skin cells and oils. Remove the hair from the brush using the rake. If you don’t have a rake, use any slim pointed object to lift the hair. Make sure to go all the way down to the bristles.
Fill a container with warm water and add some soap.
Plop your brush into the soapy water and allow it to it for 3 minutes.
Do not soak brushes with pillow or wooden brushes. Just dampen with soapy water.
Grab your toothbrush and scrub on the brushes. Make sure to go on the bristles and the base. Scrub the handle as well.
Rinse with water to remove the soap. Pat with a dry towel and leave it to air dry.
Note: for brushes with pillows or wooden brushes, quickly rinse it off with some water as you don’t want to damage them.
