Materials:

  • Microfiber cloth
  • Rubber gloves
  • Scrub squares
  • Cleaning toothbrush
  • All-purpose cleaner
  • Dish soap
  • Spray bottle
  • Baking soda
  • Warm water

Directions:

Step 1

First off, make sure to wear rubber gloves, then start disassembling the stovetop, and carefully set aside the burner pieces and grates. Prepare a mixture of dish soap, baking soda, and warm water, then pre-treat the burner pieces by soaking them in the mixture for a few minutes, and proceed to clean the stovetop. Spray the gunky or grease spots with a generous amount of heavy-duty dish soap spray, then mix spray all over the stovetop with an all-purpose cleaner or soapy water, and let it sit for a few minutes while you work on the grates. Spray the grates with heavy-duty soap spray and an all-purpose cleaner, then let it sit for a few minutes, add some dish soap on the square scrub, and start scrubbing the burner pieces that you soaked earlier.

Step 2

After scrubbing them well, do not rinse them yet and let them sit for longer on the soap instead, this will help break down the grease, then rinse them well, and lay them flat on top of a microfiber cloth to dry. Check the stovetop if it’s drying out, then rehydrate it by spraying it with an all-purpose cleaner, then brush the burner with small crevices using a toothbrush, rinse, and lay on the cloth to dry. Now, use the square scrub to clean the stovetop, then brush the little outlets as well, and once done, pour some clean water on it or pour it on a clean microfiber cloth. Wipe the soap away until nice and clean. Scrub and rinse the grates, then wipe them dry along with the rest of the burners before assembling them together.
