For Lightly Burnt Pots

Pour some baking soda into your pot, then add a bit of water, and gently scrub the paste around the pot moving the brush back and forth but make sure to put too much pressure. After scrubbing off all the burnt parts, give the pot a good rinse, and wipe it dry.

For Really Burnt Pots

Start by scraping out whatever food is left, then scrape around the rounded side of the pan as well, and then apply some dishwashing liquid. Gently scrub the pot using a sponge with a semi-soft scrubbing side and try to get off as many burnt parts as possible.

Alternative Method (optional)

Add about 4 cups of water and half a box of baking soda to the burnt pot, then place it on a stove over high heat, and bring it to a boil for about 8 to 10 minutes. Gently scrape off the burnt parts with a wooden spoon, then keep boiling the mixture for another 8 minutes until all of the particles lift off the pot itself.
