To start, take a few towels and we them. (You can also wash them normally, take them out of the washing machine, and hang them up. This has the same effect because the point here is that heat is extracted from the air when the towels dry. This heat cools not only the damp towel but also the surrounding air because through the so-called evaporative cooling, you can thereby cool the apartment.) For best results, wet the towels with nice cold water.

Wring out the towels. Hang them on a clothes rack which you will place in the room where you stay or the room you want to cool. (The easiest way to do this is to just hang washed clothes in the room to cool them down.) You will notice that the surroundings are much cooler and more comfortable.
