Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup salted butter (1 stick, melted)
  • 2 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp aluminum-free baking powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 3/4 cups buttermilk

Directions:

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 450 degrees F and grease your baking dish with a nonstick cooking spray. Next, in a bowl, add 2 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour, 1 1/2 tbsp granulated sugar, 1 tbsp aluminum-free baking powder, 1 1/2 tsp salt, and 1 3/4 cups buttermilk. Mix well until dough forms. After this, add 1/2 cup melted salted butter in a baking dish then transfer the dough.

Step 2

Spread the dough evenly, pushing it down and into the corners of the baking dish. Once done, cut the dough into small squares right into the baking dish. Place it in the preheated 450 degrees F oven and bake for 22 to 25 minutes. Serve and enjoy!
