Ingredients Needed For This Recipe:

  • 2 cups Self-Rising Flour
  • 1 to 1 ½ cups Heavy Cream

Directions:

Step One

Sift your flour. The more air your flour has in it, the fluffier your biscuits will be. If you don’t have a sifter, you can just run a fork through the flour to get some lumps out and add some air to the flour.

Step Two

Add 1 cup of heavy whipping cream in with your flour. Mix the flour and heavy whipping cream till you’ve created a thick dough-like consistency. The dough can have lumps, just try to work out the larger ones. Since the dough is made from scratch, it will have more texture with some lumps added in.

Step Three

Roll out your dough onto some parchment paper. Using a round cookie cutter, cut out circle-shaped biscuits, or just create biscuit shapes in your hands. Place them into your cast iron skillet. You could also bake them on a cookie sheet with parchment paper.

Step Four

Cook the biscuits for about 10 minutes in the oven. The cooking time can vary from oven to oven depending on the thickness of your dough and how much air is in the dough. Finally, you are ready to serve your biscuits.
