Drinking healthy beverages can be refreshing and delicious too, especially if you follow this recipe by Sweet Adjeley on YouTube! This drink is super yummy and even kids will definitely love it. Plus, it only needs about four to five ingredients or more if you want to modify the recipe.

Ingredients:

  • 1 pineapple
  • 1 cup of ginger
  • 1 lemon
  • ½-1 cup of sugar, or to taste, optional
  • 1 (16.9 fl oz)bottle of purified water
  • Any sweetener of your choice

Directions:

Step 1

Rinse the pineapple under running water, then remove the crown, and set it aside. Rinse the ginger and lemon as well, then set them aside. Cut off both ends of the pineapple, then cut and peel the skin off as well. Next, peel off the flesh with black dots but set them aside for the simple syrup mixture. Cut the fruit into 4 lengthwise, then remove the core, and cut each piece in half. Place the peeled flesh into a large pot, then add enough water to submerge the fruit, and add the sugar. Let the mixture boil over low to medium heat for about 5 minutes or until the sugar has dissolved. While waiting for the simple syrup to finish boiling, cut the fruit into smaller pieces, and set them aside on a large plate. Next, cut the ginger into small pieces, then add them to the plate of pineapple as well.

Step 2

Roll the lemon to give it a massage and let the fruit release its juices, then check the simple syrup after 5 minutes, turn off the fire, and allow the mixture to cool down. In a blender, add some purified water, then add the pineapple and ginger pieces, and blend them together for a few seconds until smooth. Strain the juice mixture into a bowl, then squeeze the lemon over the strainer as well, use a spatula to scrape, and press the strained pulp to squeeze out as much juice as possible, you can also pour the rest of the purified water over it to squeeze more juice. Pour it back into the blender, and strain the simple syrup into the same bowl, then press and squeeze the juice out. Mix the juice and the syrup together in the pot, then allow it to cool down completely before transferring it to a glass or plastic pitcher, then serve, and enjoy!
