Ingredients:

  • 2 (12 oz) packages smoked sausage link
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 2 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp smoked paprika
  • chopped parsley, for garnish

Directions:

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 400 degrees F and grease a 9 x 13 casserole dish with nonstick cooking spray. Set aside. Next, cut the sausage into 3″ pieces, then cut each almost towards the end, making the hasselback cut. Once done, place them in the prepared casserole dish. Set aside.

Step 2

Now, make the sauce. In a medium mixing bowl, combine 1 cup barbecue sauce, 1/4 cup maple syrup, 2 tsp Dijon mustard, 1/4 tsp salt, 1/4 tsp ground black pepper, 1/4 tsp garlic powder, 1/4 tsp onion powder, and 1/4 tsp smoked paprika. Mix together until well combined. Once done, slather the sausage with the sauce, making sure they are covered well.

Step 3

After this, place the sausages in the preheated 400 degrees F oven and bake them for 25 to 30 minutes until the edges get crispy and the sauce gets nice and caramelized. Once done, transfer the sausages to a plate, garnish with some chopped parsley, and serve.
