This is a simple southern-style dish that’s made out of a crockpot. What’s For Tea? hamburger casserole recipe on YouTube uses only 10 ingredients to make this meal. It’s. combination of ground beef, onions, potatoes, and cheese. It’s an easy, quick recipe, and using a crockpot makes everything so tender. It’s great comfort food with the cheesy potatoes and meat mix. A subscriber sent her the recipe to remake and renamed it hamburger hash. I think this type of meal is easy for kids and those that do not like vegetables. This is strictly meat, carbs, and cheese, but you can add other things to this recipe too.

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb Minced or ground beef
  • 3 lbs Potatoes – peeled & sliced about ¼ inch thick
  • 1 Large thinly sliced white onion
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp parsley
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 3 cups Grated cheese, cheddar
  • 2/3 cup Chicken or beef stock/broth

Directions:

First, in a nonstick pan, spray the pot with cooking spray if you’re using a lean cut ground beef. Then, add the minced or ground beef to the pot and cook until browned. Start to layer the hamburger hash casserole, and add the cut potatoes with onions, seasoning, ground beef, and cheese. Repeat this process until ingredients are up.

This is an inexpensive meal to make, and you can top this off with sour cream or garnish with parsley. This serves about 4-5 people, but this recipe can be doubled if it needs to be served for more. Also, serve this with crusty bread or vegetables on the side to complete it for a whole dinner meal.
