Most likely you’re probably left with some candy the day after Halloween or your kids have a bag full after trick or treating. So, make some use out of it and learn how to make Halloween candy bark by Mr. Food Test Kitchen on YouTube. This is a great idea because the Halloween candy bark looks amazing with the varieties of chopped up candy of your choice. Plus, this would be a good way to get rid of some Halloween candy and take it to the office. Also, this is a unique way to mix some of your favorite chocolate bars or candy if you have a hard time choosing which to eat first. These candy barks can be stored in an airtight container or plastic bag. I love how the M&Ms add a nice vibrant color to the chocolate bark, and the chunks of actual candy bars are my favorite part. There are many Halloween candy recipes, but this is one of the easiest ones.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups dark chocolate chips
  • 1 tsp vegetable shortening
  • 1 cup assorted chopped candy (chocolate candy bars, M&M’s, Halloween candy corn, etc)

Directions:

First, in a medium microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips and shortening. Microwave for about 1 1/2 – 2 minutes or until smooth. Then, on a lined baking sheet, spoon and smooth out the chocolate evenly onto the wax paper.
