This garlic scallion pull-apart bread recipe by Savor Easy on YouTube looks amazing and soft. I love the pull-apart effect because it’s easy to serve with the individual slices. I would even serve this with spaghetti or pasta on the side too. This is a different twist of garlic bread, because of the scallions. If you don’t like the scallions, you can make this as a loaf of regular garlic bread. It’s such an easy recipe to follow along with, and it’s so simple. Savor Easy has other recipes that have the pull-apart concept too. Cheese with garlic butter is one of my favorite combinations for bread that I buy at the store, so now I can make this homemade at home.
Ingredients:
Dough:
- 1 cup milk, room temp
- 1 egg
- 2&¼ tsp instant yeast
- ¼ cup of sugar
- 3 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp salt
- ¼ cup unsalted butter
Garlic Butter Scallions Spread:
- 1/2 cup softened butter
- 2 tbsp chopped garlic
- 3 tbsp scallions
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
Eggwash:
- 1 egg
- 2 tbsp milk
Directions:
First, start off by making the dough and add milk, egg, instant yeast, and sugar into a large bowl. Mix well. Then, add the dry ingredients, and mix everything together until dough is formed. Cover for about 10-20 minutes. Then, add the butter and mix. Continue to watch Savor Easy tutorial on YouTube for full instructions and details.
Next, once the dough has doubled in size, spread the garlic scallion butter spread evenly onto the dough that’s in a rectangular shape.
Overall, this pull-apart bread recipe looks very savory and I would love to try this. My mom loves these types of bread because the scallions give off an Asian twist and flavor that she is familiar with. There are a lot of bakeries that she goes to that offers this type of scallion butter bread.
