I have loving simple casserole recipes, and this amazing video by Catherine’s Plates is definitely that. Fritos Pie always reminds me of my childhood because my mom made it a lot growing up. This recipe is a fun twist on a traditional Fritos Pie or taco soup. It’s all the same delicious ingredients but layered between Fritos and shredded cheese. The family is sure to love this yummy casserole dish on any occasion. And it’s great for leftovers.

Ingredients Needed For This Recipe:

  • Fritos
  • Cooking Oil
  • Onion
  • Ground Beef
  • Taco Seasoning
  • Diced Tomatoes
  • Corn
  • Sour Cream
  • Green Chillies
  • Jar of Salsa
  • Shredded Cheese

Directions:

Step One

Cook your onions and ground beef in a pan. Allow the ground beef to cook up till brown, then add taco seasoning to the pan. Mix the seasoning thill it’s evenly dispersed. You will want to drain grease out of the meat, using a paper towel to soak it up, or straining the meat.

Step Two

Add in your diced tomatoes, corn, sour cream and green chilies. Let the mixture cook and simmer before using your jar of salsa to add some extra spice to the mixture.

Step Two

In your casserole dish, add a layer of Fritos, then a layer of cheese. Finally, add the mixture of meat and vegetables on top and repeat the Fritos, cheese and mixture in layers to build the casserole up. Make sure the layers are even.

Step Three

Cook the casserole in the oven at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes, then enjoy. Top it off with some chives or green onions for a fancier look. The recipe is that simple!
