These crispy fried pork ribs and gravy by Twisted on YouTube sound like a delicious southern comfort meal. It’s a country twist to a meaty classic that is something, not a lot of people are used to having fried. Southern foods always take on a different twist when it comes to recipes, such as fried steak or pork chops. This looks so good, and I want to recreate this when I’m having a country southern dinner. Also, it would be nice to switch up the way ribs are normally supposed to be cooked with this fried recipe.

Ingredients:

  • 1 tsp black peppercorns
  • 1 tbsp fennel seeds
  • 2 tbsp salt
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1 tsp thyme
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp mustard powder
  • 1 rack pork ribs
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 sticks celery, chopped
  • 1 carrot, chopped

Directions:

First, make the dry rub seasoning by adding the spices to a bowl and mixing everything together. Then, chop all of the veggies and add it to a baking tray with a grate on top to place the rack of ribs. Bake for 30 minutes at 200F. Next, once the gravy and ribs are finished, start on the breading process. Mix the flour batter and eggs in two separate bowls. Coat the ribs with the flour, then dip them into the egg mixture and back into the flour. Continue to do this to all of the ribs and fry them in oil in a pan.

Overall, these look amazing and I love ribs. This is a country southern twist to ribs, and I would love to try these out because I love ribs. I think the gravy would complement the ribs and keep them nice and flavorful.
