My family loves to cook. I have a big family, so on weekends, we prepare a lot of food – that’s how we bond and spend time together. We have four burners at home and three of them suddenly wouldn’t light up one weekend. Everyone was frustrated and could not figure out the reason why. So I searched on how to fix a gas stove top burner that’s not lighting on Youtube and found this video by JMG ENTERPRISES. It worked like magic! We were all surprised by this super simple solution. Try it now – this might save you a lot of trouble. It’s an easy and inexpensive fix that doesn’t need any special tools.

Remove the accessories and gates from your stovetop so you can access the burner.
On top of most gas ranges, there are little discs – remove them. When you look down into the hole, you’ll see the copper part that releases the gas and brings it up. On the side, you will see the igniter, which is a small white part. Once it hits the gas, it will ignite. If there’s a spark and you have gas, but you are still not getting flame, there is something you should check. The way the gas reaches the igniter is through the tiny hole (it may be on the side or bottom). It leaks the gas out and brings it right to the igniter.
Over time, little food particles can get into the hole and clog it up. Get a needle and access the hole through the outside part. Shove it through to clear the hole. Most of the time, this simple trick can solve your problem.
Replace the cover and test if it’s already working.
