Melanie Diaz has come up with a genius father’s day idea. She created a tutorial for Fathers Day chocolate-covered strawberries. You can even make them blue or other colors. A cool way to switch this tutorial up would be to make the strawberries into your father’s favorite sports team colors. My father is a University of Kentucky Fan, so I made them blue and white, but you can really do any color you’d like.
Start by putting toothpicks into all of your berries. This will make it easier to dip them into the chocolate.

Melt your chocolate in the microwave, or over low heat on the stove. If you choose to melt the chocolate in the microwave, be sure you don’t burn it. Placing it in the microwave for short times is the best way to ensure you don’t burn the chocolate.
Dip your strawberries into the chocolate. Try your best to not get the chocolate onto the leaves of the berries.
Once you have dipped some in just plain chocolate. You can also use white chocolate and add food coloring to make the berries a different color. Get creative with the colors. You can drizzle some, or even marble them.

Pour chocolate into your letter molds to spell out the word ” DAD.” Let the chocolate dry and then remove it from the mold and use chocolate to attach them to the berries.
Prepare your berries for the presentation. It is easier to do this if you place the berries into small cupcake containers.
