I love watermelon and always look forward to recipes that include it, it’s sweet and refreshing as is, and tastes even better when you make margaritas out of them! I’ve been serving watermelon margaritas for my family and friends at events or other special occasions and they love it. So, if you are also planning to serve this for your parties as well, then here’s how to do it. Simply follow the instructions listed down below and watch this video tutorial by Laura in the Kitchen on YouTube as well. You can also try switching watermelons with frozen mangoes, they taste absolutely incredible too!

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups of fresh watermelon
  • ½ cup of silver tequila
  • ½ cup of lime juice
  • 1/3 cup of triple sec
  • 3 tbsp or to taste of simple syrup or agave nectar

Directions:

Step 1

Prepare the watermelon and slice it into small bite-sized pieces so that it can be processed easier. Then, put them in the blender, and puree them until smooth or until it becomes a juice. Pour the juice into another container making sure to strain it through a fine sieve, then set it aside.

Step 2

In the same blender, pour the strained watermelon juice back, then add the lime, tequila, triple sec, and simple syrup or agave nectar, and blend for only a second to combine all of the ingredients. Prepare the rim of your glasses by wiping them with a slice of lime, then immediately dip them in either salt or sugar, and pour your margarita over some ice cubes. Serve and enjoy!
