Vegetable Balls
Sauce Mixture
Step 1
In a large bowl, add the chopped cabbage and carrots, then sprinkle some salt, and allow it to sit for about 5 minutes. After a few minutes, squeeze out all the water, then transfer the squeezed veggies to a separate bowl, and add the onion, jalapeños, chilli powder, salt, black pepper, cornflour, and flour. Mix them all together until well combined and incorporated, then shape them into small balls, and set them aside. Place a pan on a stove over medium heat, then drizzle some oil, and allow it to heat up before placing the vegetable balls.

Step 2
Let them cook until all sides are nice and brown and cooked through, then set them aside on a plate lined with a paper towel to drain off excess oil. In the same pan, add the oil, then allow it to heat up before adding the garlic, ginger, jalapeño, onion, green chilli sauce, tomato ketchup, red chilli sauce, soy sauce, vinegar, salt, and red chilli sauce, and toss them all together until well combined and incorporated.
Step 3
In a small mixing bowl, add the water and cornflour, then stir them together until uniform and incorporated, and add them to the sauce mixture. Give them a good stir, then place the fried vegetable balls back into the pan, toss them together to coat nicely, and allow them to cook for about 1 minute before turning off the heat. Transfer them to a serving bowl or plate, then garnish with diced green onions, and serve. Enjoy!
