Nothing is more relaxing than a freshly cleaned home, but sometimes when we become busy with our daily lives, we forget to clean some parts of the house. These cause bad smells to come out of nowhere. Here are some easy tricks to remove any odor from your house by BRIGHT SIDE on Youtube. Watch the video below for more.
Be sure to clean the trash can well before putting a new empty bag inside as it also accumulates awful smells. Remove any remnants of waste that stick to the can by brushing it. After that, rinse it and wipe it with a paper towel or old rags. Spray it on the inside with an all-purpose cleaner, scrub it well, and rinse again. Once it’s dry, you can put a new trash bag inside.
Place dryer sheets in shoe closets, musty areas, trash cans, and gym bags to remove the smell. The sheets will help to soak up the odor.
Place a few of the dryer sheets behind the vents in every room of your house. The circulating air will carry the aroma of freshness around your home. Be sure to put in new sheets after a few weeks as the air dries them out.
Do you just vacuum your carpet once in a while? If so, don’t be surprised if it becomes stinky at some point, especially if you have pets. To remove the bacteria and urine smells, rub the carpet with vinegar and water mix (one part vinegar, three parts water) using a cloth, then rinse well with water.
Remove the moldy odor that sets in your basement after heavy rain with onions. Slice one right down the middle and drop in the basement for the night.

Here’s an effective solution, mix 1 cup of bleach with 1 gallon of water in a bucket. Spread onto the affected areas using a stiff-bristled brush. Be sure to put on rubber gloves and open the windows. Rinse the area with a sponge when finished.
Sprinkle baking soda inside your shoes and leave them overnight.
Mold and mildew often grow inside your washing machine which causes a bad odor that may spread to your laundry room. To remove it, run a cycle with a cup or two of bleach and warm water from time to time. When you are not using it, be sure to keep the lid open.
Fill your bathroom with strong fragrant herbs like lemon balm, thyme, or rosemary in the far corner of the shower to keep them away from water.
Dry orange peels overnight, then boil 5 or 6 of them in a pot of water with the lid off for a couple of hours. You can also add spices like cinnamon, ginger, basil, allspice, cranberries, and cloves. If you have a gas stove, you can just burn an orange peel over it.
