Our family loves tortilla wrap recipes and we make them quite often for family meals, and sometimes tortilla wraps could turn soggy or rubbery when you reheat them. But recently, I found out about fabric tortilla wrap warmers and that they’re pretty easy to sew even for beginners! If you want to learn how to make your own tortilla warmers as well, then watch this video tutorial by Hello Sewing on YouTube.

Step 1

Download and print out the pattern, then cut it out. Fold your main fabric in half, then place the pattern on the fold, and cut the fabric accordingly. Repeat the process with the lining and batting fabric, then make 2 pieces for each fabric making sure that their sizes are equal. Lay the round batting fabric at the bottom, then place the lining fabric on top with its right side facing up, and the main fabric on top of the lining with its right side facing down. Make sure that the edges are matching, then pin them around, and repeat all of the processes to the other set of round fabrics.

Step 2

Sew them around with a quarter-inch seam allowance making sure to leave a few inches of opening unsewn for turning later. Once you’re done sewing the pieces, turn it right side out, then press it flatly with an iron. Tuck the seams of the opening nicely, then pin it in place. Topstitch around the entire circle close to the edge using either a quarter or eighth of an inch. Sew the other circle as well. Stack the 2 circles together with their main fabric sides facing together, match the edges, then pin or clip them halfway around, and sew half of the circle. Turn it right side or main fabric side out, and you’re done.
