Nothing can lift your mood in an instant than delicious and warm food! Whenever I feel exhausted or after a tiring and busy day, I always make sure to prepare a quick, easy, but super yummy dinner, just like this recipe by Flo Lum on YouTube. Sometimes I even make it with some leftover ground meat and tastes absolutely fantastic, especially when topped over steaming rice. You should try this dinner recipe out and see for yourself.

Step 1
Put the ground beef in a large mixing bowl, then add the cornstarch, soy sauce, wine, and cooking oil, and mix them together until well combined and incorporated. Let the beef sit to let the flavor seep while you’re preparing the rest of the ingredients. Chop half an onion, then dice two cloves of garlic, and chop some green onions as well for garnishing later. Next, prepare the gravy mixture by simply mixing together the broth or water, oyster sauce, dark or regular soy sauce, and sugar. Give them a good stir until well combined and the sugar has dissolved, then set it aside. Place a wok, or large and deep pan on a stove over medium-high heat, then once smoking, add some oil followed by the seasoned beef. Break the beef apart and sear the bottom before stirring it around, then once the beef is cooked through, move them to the side and create a hollow center.

Step 2
Add the chopped onions in that space and cook for about 1 to 2 minutes or until translucent, then add the garlic and cook for about 30 seconds before adding about 1 cup of green peas. Mix them all together until well combined, after about 1 minute or once the peas are cooked through, move them again to the side to create a hollow center. Pour the prepared gravy mixture into the hollow center, then while waiting for it to heat up, prepare the slurry. Simply mix the cornstarch and water together, then add the heated gravy. Stir them around until the sauce is evenly distributed and the ingredients are well combined, add a pinch of white pepper for a little spice, as well as, some sesame oil. Give them a good stir, then turn off the heat, and transfer to a serving bowl, or immediately top over steaming rice. Serve and enjoy!
