Have you ever experienced having some bananas become overripe because you weren’t able to eat all of them in time or you simply forgot they are in your kitchen or pantry? This flavorful choco banana cake by Savor Easy on YouTube tastes yummy and chocolatey, and the bananas incorporated in this don’t taste overripe at all, in fact, you wouldn’t notice if you didn’t know. Try it out and see for yourself.
Chocolate ganache
Step 1
Mash about 3 to 4 pieces of overripe bananas, then transfer them into a large mixing bowl, and add the sugar, eggs, oil, and vanilla extract. Whisk them well together until combined and uniform, then sift over them the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt, and give them a good whisk until incorporated and fully combined. Add the hot water, then continue whisking to combine, and scrape the sides and bottom with a spatula folding them together to combine even more.

Step 2
Grease a 9×5 loaf dish by brushing the sides and bottom with melted butter, then pour the batter into the baking dish, and let it bake in a preheated oven at 170°C or 340°F for about 40 to 45 minutes. Let the cake cool down completely while preparing the ganache. In a mixing bowl, add the chocolate chips and hot heavy cream, then let it sit for about 3 minutes, and stir until the chocolate chips have melted and they are well incorporated. Once the cake has cooled down, unmold it, then start frosting it with the prepared chocolate ganache, slice, serve, and enjoy!
