I’ve tried a lot of mashed potatoes recipes but nothing ever comes close to how tasty, flavorful, and creamy this version by The Slow Roasted Italian on YouTube is. All of the flavors were perfectly balanced and the mashed potatoes themselves are well seasoned, you can already enjoy eating this as is but it will surely make your meal even better when you serve this on the side of your favorite dish. Step 1
Rinse the potatoes well making sure to remove any dirt stuck, then peel off their skin, and start slicing them into small cube pieces. Add the potatoes to a large pot, then pour water with salt until the potatoes are covered, and place the pot on a stove over medium-high heat letting it bring to a boil. Once boiling, reduce the heat to a medium setting, then let the potatoes continue to cook for about 15 minutes or until fork tender, and drain off all the water.

Step 2
Put the drained potatoes back into the pot, then put them back on the stove over high heat, and allow the potatoes to dry for about 30 seconds before turning off the heat. Add the butter, cream cheese, sour cream, heavy cream, kosher salt, and garlic powder, then mash them all together until well combined and into desired consistency, and then garnish it with chopped chives. Serve and enjoy!
