Cut off the top of the tomatoes, then remove all of their seeds as well as the membranes (removing the seeds and membranes could prolong the life of your salad, but some say that most of the flavors are in the seeds and the membranes, so you can also leave the seeds on if you prefer), and coarsely chop the flesh.

Step 2
In a medium-sized mixing bowl, add the chopped tomatoes, then break the saltine crackers, and add them to the bowl as well. Next, add the mayonnaise, then lightly toss them all together until evenly coated, season them with some salt and a generous amount of black pepper or to taste. Serve them immediately on the side of your favorite dish and enjoy!
