This potato recipe by Recipe30 on YouTube is probably one of my favorite ways of cooking potatoes because they are just so delicious and savory! In just about a few minutes, you can have this fancy dish ready using only simple ingredients that you can easily find in the grocery store or that might already be available in your kitchen. Try this now and serve it on the side of grilled meat or any of your favorite dishes. Enjoy!
Step 1
Start by cutting off the ends of the potatoes, then peel off the skin from top to bottom until its shape looks like a barrel, and cut it in half crosswise or use a cookie cutter to cut them through. Fill a large bowl with cold water, then put the potatoes, and wash them well to remove the starches. At this point, you can start to preheat your oven to 220°C or 430°F, then place an oven-proof frying pan on a stove over medium to high heat, and heat up the olive oil and butter.

Step 2
Once the butter has melted, place the potatoes in the pan, then season them with some salt and pepper to taste, and the thyme and garlic around the potatoes. Let them cook until nice and brown making sure not to let them burn, turn them over until both sides are browned, then pour the chicken stock, and bring them to a boil. Once boiling, transfer them from the stove and into the preheated oven making sure to turn off the stove, then let the potatoes bake for about 30 minutes or until most of the stock has evaporated and the potatoes are fork tender.
