Taco Bell’s menu isn’t famous for no reason. Their tacos and burritos taste out of this world; even their nachos and quesadillas taste so good. So if you love Taco Bell, I’m sure you will love this copycat recipe of their famous crunchwraps from Catherine’s Plates on Youtube. You don’t have to take a trip down to your nearest Taco Bell anymore – this recipe taste just as good as the original! Watch the video below to learn the recipe.
In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add a bit of cooking oil then saute the diced onions until they build up some color. Next, add the 1 1/2 lbs of ground beef, break it up using a meat chopper, then cook it until the ground beef is nice and brown. After the ground beef is cooked, take the grease out of the pan by using a paper towel. After this, get ready to season the ground beef. Add 4 tbsp of taco blend (or 1 1/2 packets of taco seasoning if you have bought it from the store), 1/4 cup of water, and salt and pepper to taste. Mix it all well, turn off the heat, and let it sit. Next, put 1 jar of con queso cheese dip in a bowl, and place it in the microwave for 1 minute to heat it. After this, slice the tomatoes about three-quarters of the way through, almost to the bottom of it. Turn it around, and slice it again the same way. Turn it on its side, then slice it, making dice cuts. Cut a quarter of lettuce, then shred it finely. Get the olives and chopped them (if you have your olives pre-chopped already, that’s fine).

Prepare all the ingredients to the table for the crunchwraps including the 11″ burrito-sized flour tortillas, and some 5″ round tostadas. Heat the tortillas in the microwave to make them more pliable. After heating the tortillas, lay one on a surface and place 2 tbsp of con queso in the center followed by 1/2 cup of the ground beef mixture. Place a tostada shell on top of the ground beef mixture, then add 1 tbsp of sour cream to the tostada shell (spread it carefully). Top it with some lettuce, tomato, olives, and a sprinkle of Mexican cheese blend. Fold the tortilla wrap edges very carefully towards the center, then flip it over. Put the griddle on medium heat, then spray some nonstick cooking spray. Lay the crunchwraps seam side down first into the griddle. (You can also use a frying pan for this.) Grill each side for about 2 – 3 minutes.
