Ingredients for Sugar-Free Ketchup:

  • 6 tbsp of tomato paste
  • 4¾ tbsp of granulated or powdered allulose, or any keto-friendly sweetener
  • 1 tsp of onion powder
  • 1 tsp of garlic powder
  • 1 tsp of salt
  • 2 tbsp of apple cider vinegar or white vinegar
  • 1/8-¼ tsp of Xanthan gum, depending on the consistency you prefer
  • 120ml or ½ cup of water

How to Make Sugar-Free Ketchup:

Step 1

In a small saucepan, add the tomato paste, allulose, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, vinegar, and water, then turn the heat to medium, and bring the mixture to a boil.

Step 2

Let it cook for about 2 to 3 minutes while stirring consistently, then adjust the seasoning to taste, and then reduce the heat.

Step 3

Now, gradually sprinkle the Xanthan gum, then stir or whisk to combine, and keep stirring or use a handheld mixer until smooth.

Step 4

Once the mixture has reached the desired consistency, turn off the heat, then remove the saucepan from the stove. and transfer the ketchup into a clean and dry jar.

Step 5

Allow it to cool and slightly thicken, then store it in the refrigerator for up to 4 weeks or freeze for up to 3 months or more, and serve as desired. Enjoy!
