Ingredients:

  • 1 lb of fresh strawberries
  • 1/4 cup of white sugar
  • 1 package of instant vanilla pudding (prepare according to package instructions)
  • pound cake (homemade or store-bought)
  • whipped cream

size of mason jars: half pint

Instructions:

Step 1:

Thoroughly wash, then remove the leaves of the strawberries. Place them in a bowl and cut them into pieces. Next, add the sugar. Stir well to coat the berries. Let them sit for about 20 to 30 minutes.

Step 2:

While you wait for the strawberries, prepare the whipped cream and the instant pudding according to the package instructions. You can make your own whipped cream or you can use a store-bought.

Step 3:

Slice the pound cake into 1/2″ thick slices using a biscuit cutter, cookie cutter, or measuring cup. Make sure that the size is slightly smaller than the jar you will use. You will need 2 slices per jar.

Step 4:

Assemble the mini trifles. Place a slice of the pound cake in the bottom of the jar. Next, put a spoonful of pudding on top. Then place a spoonful of the sugar-coated strawberries and top with whipped cream. Make another layer. Do the same for the remaining jars and ingredients. This will make 6 mini trifles. Once done, place in the fridge and refrigerate for a few hours, then serve. Enjoy!
