I found this video tutorial by Catherine’s Plates on YouTube while browsing for a dessert recipe to add to my many to-cook lists. I’ve seen several takes and versions of dump cakes but this recipe stood out to me the most due to its simplicity and practicality. What I loved about this recipe, even more, is the fact that you can swap the filling with any other flavor you could ever think of. You should definitely try this out and share it with your family, they’ll love it for sure.
Step 1
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees, then grease your 9*13 inches baking dish with a non-stick cooking spray, and set it aside. Pour two cans of pie filling into the baking dish, then smooth out until the bottom is covered. Grab the whipped cream cheese and scoop it out with a spoon, then place it all over the pie filling to cover the filling.

Step 2
In a medium-sized mixing bowl, put the dry cake mix followed by the melted butter, then mix them together until nice and crumbly. Sprinkle the crumble mixture all over the top of the filling and whipped cream cheese mixture. Put the dish in the preheated oven and bake it for about 25 minutes or until the sides are golden brown and the pie filling is nice and bubbly. Serve with a cool whip or ice cream on the side.
