I have tried a lot of cleaning techniques for my gas stove before and only a few worked really well. Until I found this cleaning method by Clean Freak & Germaphobe on YouTube that doesn’t require any scrubbing or brushing. Just let them sit for a few hours, then go on ahead and do whatever chores you have to do, and then come back to give your stove a quick wipe. Watch this video tutorial, then try it out, and see for yourself!
Step 1
Remove the grates from the gas stove, then put them in a basin, and pour your favorite cleaning solution all over them. Cover the basin with plastic wrap, then soak a bunch of paper towels in the solution as well, and put them all over the stove and on top of the grease buildup. Cover the stove with plastic wrap, this way your eyes won’t burn off too much ammonia, then let them sit in the solution for at least 3 hours or more to melt all of the grease buildups.

Step 2
After about 3 hours, remove the plastic cover, then remove the paper towels while wiping the stove at the same time and you’ll see the grease will come right off easily. If the smell starts to become too strong, then you might need to open the window. Repeat placing soaked paper towels all over the stove as needed to remove all of the gunk and grease, clean the grates, and rinse them in clean running water. Put them back in their places and you’re done!
