Place a pan on a stove over medium-high heat, then heat up the oil before adding the sliced baby potatoes, and let them fry turning occasionally for about 5 to 7 minutes or until half cooked and nicely seared on all sides. Drain off any excess oil before adding the glaze ingredients.

Next, add the water, soy sauce, corn syrup, sugar, ketchup, and garlic, then give them a good mix until well combined, and bring them to a simmer for about 6 to 8 minutes or until the potatoes are cooked through and the sauce has thickened and no longer runny. The longer they simmer, the thicker and stickier the glaze will get. Sprinkle roasted sesame seeds all over the top, then serve, and enjoy!
